Dea means goddess in Latin.

And so does Deuzani, the name of the crafstwoman in Vale do Jequitinhonha who welcomed us in her house, shared her stories and taught us so much more than just how to make pottery.

The jewelry case is a jewelry in itself: the blend from the works of two artisans far apart and us, from the studio, functioning as the bridge between them, creating something new and unexpected.

Piece from the SerTãoDivino Collection, designed in partnership with artist Aline Victor.

The ceramic base comes from clay, molded and painted by Deuzani. The brush is the rearmost feather from the wings of a chicken, and the ink is made by the artisan herself, using earth and natural pigments – which cook for hours on the wood stove. The lid is made from solid demolition wood, hand turned by Severino, in São Paulo; the trim is a leather lacing, a simple and delicate handle just like the piece.
